Publication Ethics

IJEMR : International Journal of Education Management and Religion adheres to the highest ethical standards in publishing. Our publication ethics are based on the principles of transparency, integrity, and respect for academic and intellectual contributions. All stakeholders involved in the publication process — including authors, reviewers, and editors — are expected to uphold the following ethical guidelines:

For Authors:

  1. Originality and Plagiarism:
Authors must ensure that their work is original and free from plagiarism. Any sources or ideas that are not their own must be properly cited and acknowledged.
  2. Authorship and Acknowledgment:
Authors should only include individuals who have made significant contributions to the research or manuscript. Proper acknowledgment of financial, technical, or other contributions must be included in the manuscript.
  3. Data Accuracy:
Authors must present research data accurately and should not manipulate or fabricate results. They should provide clear documentation of data, methodology, and sources.
  4. Conflicts of Interest:
Authors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that may influence their research findings or interpretations.
  5. Multiple Submissions:
Authors should not submit the same manuscript to multiple journals at the same time. A manuscript should only be submitted to IEMR if it has not been previously published or is not under consideration elsewhere.
  6. Ethical Approval:
For studies involving human subjects or animals, authors must obtain and clearly state ethical approval from relevant bodies and ensure that all research follows ethical guidelines.

For Reviewers:

  1. Confidentiality:
Reviewers must keep the manuscript and any related discussions confidential. They should not share or discuss the manuscript outside of the review process.
  2. Constructive Feedback:
Reviewers should provide fair, unbiased, and constructive feedback to help improve the quality of the manuscript. Criticism should be focused on the content and not the authors personally.
  3. Conflicts of Interest:
Reviewers must disclose any conflicts of interest with the manuscript and recuse themselves from reviewing when necessary.
  4. Timeliness:
Reviewers are expected to conduct reviews in a timely manner and to notify the editor if they are unable to complete the review within the specified timeframe.

For Editors:

  1. Fairness and Transparency:
Editors must treat all manuscripts fairly, without bias, and make decisions based solely on the quality and relevance of the manuscript.
  2. Conflict of Interest:
Editors must disclose any conflicts of interest related to the manuscripts they handle and must not use unpublished information for personal gain.
  3. Transparency in Decision Making:
Editors should provide clear and transparent reasoning for editorial decisions, and ensure that the peer review process is carried out objectively and impartially.
  4. Handling Ethical Complaints:
Editors must handle ethical complaints or allegations of misconduct in a professional and thorough manner, ensuring that due process is followed.

By adhering to these ethical guidelines, IJEMR strives to ensure that the academic integrity of our journal is maintained and that we provide a fair, transparent, and respectful platform for scholarly communication.
