Author Guidelines

Thank you for considering JTL: Journal of Teaching and Learning for your research publication. Please carefully follow these author guidelines to ensure that your submission adheres to our journal’s standards.

General Submission Requirements

  1. Original Work: Submissions must be original, unpublished work and not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
  2. Language: All manuscripts should be written in English.
  3. Manuscript Type: We accept original research articles, review papers, theoretical papers, case studies, and short communications.
  4. File Format: Submissions should be made in Microsoft Word (.docx) format.

Manuscript Structure

Your manuscript should be organized as follows:

  1. Title: A concise and informative title (Times New Roman 16 pt, maximum 15 words).
  2. Abstract: A structured abstract (150-250 words) that summarizes the purpose, methods, results, and conclusions of the study. The abstract should be followed by 3-5 keywords.(Times New Roman 10 pt)
  3. Introduction:
    • Briefly introduce the research problem, objectives, and the significance of the study.
    • Provide relevant background information and justify the study within the context of existing literature.

  4. Methodology:
    • Describe the research design, methods, data collection, and analysis techniques in detail.
    • Specify the sample size, instruments used, and any statistical methods applied.

  5. Results:
    • Present findings clearly and logically, using tables, figures, and other visual aids when necessary.
    • Times New Roman 12 pt
  6. Discussion:
    • Interpret and analyze the results, comparing them with previous studies and theories.
    • Discuss the implications of the findings for teaching and learning practices.
  7. Conclusion:
    • Summarize the main findings and their significance.
    • Suggest directions for future research.
  8. References:
    • Include a comprehensive list of references cited in the manuscript.
    • Use APA 7th edition referencing style for both in-text citations and the reference list.
    • Ensure all references are up-to-date and relevant to the topic.

Figures and Tables

  • All figures and tables should be cited in the manuscript text.
  • Figures and tables should be clear, legible, and in high resolution.
  • Each figure and table should have a descriptive title and be placed after the paragraph where they are first cited.
  • Use appropriate labels and captions.

Ethical Considerations

  • Plagiarism: Authors must ensure that their work is free of plagiarism. Manuscripts will be checked for plagiarism, and any manuscript found to contain plagiarized content will be rejected.
  • Informed Consent: Authors should ensure that all participants in research involving humans or animals have provided informed consent, and ethical approval has been obtained from relevant authorities.
  • Conflict of Interest: Authors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that could influence the manuscript’s content.
  • Acknowledgments: Acknowledge any financial support or contributions from individuals who assisted in the research process but did not qualify for authorship.

Submission Process

  1. Online Submission: All submissions should be made via the [Journal Submission Portal].
  2. Peer Review: Submitted manuscripts will undergo a double-blind peer review process.
  3. Revisions: Authors may be asked to revise their manuscripts based on feedback from the reviewers. Manuscripts should be resubmitted with a detailed response to reviewers’ comments.
  4. Acceptance: Upon acceptance, authors will be notified, and the manuscript will be scheduled for publication in the next issue.

Copyright and Licensing

  • Authors retain copyright over their work. However, by submitting to JTL, authors grant the journal the right to publish the manuscript under an open-access model.
  • The manuscript will be published under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License.
  • Authors are responsible for ensuring that they have the necessary rights to any copyrighted material included in their submission.

Fee Structure

Currently, there are no submission or publication fees for articles published in JTL.
