Peer Review Procces

International Journal of Health Systems and Policy (IJHSP) applies a double-blind peer review process to ensure the integrity, quality, and academic rigor of all submitted manuscripts.

Review Stages:

  1. Initial Screening
All submissions are reviewed by the editorial team to ensure they meet the journal’s scope, formatting standards, and ethical policies. Manuscripts that do not meet the basic criteria may be rejected without external review.

  2. Double-Blind Peer Review
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to two or more independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant field. Both the authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the process.

  3. Editorial Decision
Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the editor will make one of the following decisions:

    • Accept

    • Minor revision

    • Major revision

    • Reject

  4. Revision and Resubmission
Authors are given time to revise the manuscript and respond to reviewers’ comments. Revised manuscripts may be re-evaluated by the original or new reviewers.

  5. Final Acceptance and Editing
Once accepted, the manuscript undergoes copyediting and layout formatting before publication.

The typical review process takes 4–8 weeks, depending on reviewer availability and the complexity of revisions.
