Peer Review Procces

International Journal of Interdisciplinary Research (IJIR) follows a double-blind peer review process, ensuring that both authors and reviewers remain anonymous to maintain objectivity and high academic standards.

Stages of the Peer Review Process

1️⃣ Manuscript Submission

  • Authors submit their manuscripts through the online journal system: IJIR Submission System
  • The editor checks the manuscript’s relevance to the journal’s scope.
  • Manuscripts that do not meet the requirements will be rejected or returned for initial revision.

2️⃣ Plagiarism Screening

  • The manuscript is checked using plagiarism detection software (Turnitin or similar).
  • The similarity index must not exceed 20%.
  • Manuscripts exceeding the plagiarism limit will be returned for revision.

3️⃣ Reviewer Assignment

  • The editor assigns the manuscript to two independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant field.
  • Reviewers are given 2-4 weeks to complete the review.

4️⃣ Double-Blind Peer Review Process

  • Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on:
    • Originality
    • Methodology
    • Scientific Contribution
    • Clarity of Presentation
    • Accuracy of References
  • Reviewers complete the IJIR Review Form and provide one of the following recommendations:
    • Accept without revisions
    • Accept with minor revisions
    • Accept with major revisions
    • Reject

5️⃣ Editorial Decision

  • The editor reviews the feedback from the reviewers and makes a final decision:
    • Accepted: The manuscript is ready for publication.
    • Minor Revisions: The author must revise the manuscript within one week.
    • Major Revisions: The author must revise the manuscript within 2-3 weeks and resubmit for further review.
    • Rejected: The manuscript does not meet the journal’s standards.

6️⃣ Author Revision

  • Authors revise the manuscript based on reviewer comments and resubmit the revised version.
  • If necessary, the manuscript will be sent back to the reviewers for further evaluation.

7️⃣ Final Decision & Proofreading

  • Once the revisions are satisfactory, the manuscript is accepted for publication.
  • The editorial team conducts final proofreading to check language, formatting, and citations.

8️⃣ Publication

  • Accepted manuscripts are published in the January or July editions.
