Vol. 1 No. 1 (2025)International Journal of Interdisciplinary Research (IJIR) is proud to announce the publication of its inaugural edition, Volume 1, Number 1, January 2025. This first edition marks a significant milestone in the advancement of global interdisciplinary academic discourse, with contributions from Eight universities across Four countries: Indonesia, Brunei, Italy and the United States. As an open-access journal that has undergone a peer-review process, IJIR aims to promote academic collaboration by providing a platform for high-quality research in various fields and disciplines. This research originates from various universities, including Universitas Islam Negeri Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung, STAI Kh Muhammad Ali Shodiq Tulungagung, IAI Hasanuddin Pare, Universitas Islam Negeri Syarif Hidayatullah, and UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang in Indonesia, as well as the University of Brunei Darussalam in Brunei and Southern Illinois University in the United States. The diversity of academic backgrounds and geographical representation of these institutions contribute to the journal’s commitment to global knowledge exchange. This edition presents a collection of highly relevant and impactful research, addressing various critical issues in the fields of education, business, ethics, and social sciences. Some of the articles published in this issue include "Ethics of Artificial Intelligence Usage in Education: A Qualitative Study on Teachers' and Students' Perceptions," "Implementation of Inclusive Education for Students with Special Needs in Public Schools: A Qualitative Study," "Motivation and Challenges in Enhancing Teaching Innovation Among Young Educators in Indonesia", "Educational Perception in Urban and Rural Communities: A Qualitative Study," and "Semantic Approaches in Islamic Education." By integrating various academic and cultural perspectives, IJIR aims to contribute to the advancement of global knowledge and encourage interdisciplinary collaboration. Academics, researchers, and practitioners are invited to explore the articles in this edition and submit their work for upcoming issues of the International Journal of Interdisciplinary Research (IJIR).
