Plagiarism Policy

International Journal of Interdisciplinary Research (IJIR) upholds the highest standards of academic integrity and originality. To ensure the authenticity of published works, the journal has established the following plagiarism policy:

1. Definition of Plagiarism

Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to:

  • Copying another person's work, whether published or unpublished, without proper citation.
  • Paraphrasing ideas from other sources without proper acknowledgment.
  • Self-plagiarism (duplicate publication), where an author republishes their own previously published work without citation or permission.
  • Fabrication or falsification of data, citations, or sources.

2. Plagiarism Check Process

  • All submitted manuscripts will be screened for plagiarism using reliable plagiarism detection software before the peer review process.
  • The similarity index should not exceed 20% (excluding references and properly cited quotations).
  • Manuscripts with a similarity percentage exceeding the allowable limit will be returned to the authors for revision or outright rejection.

3. Consequences of Plagiarism

If plagiarism is detected at any stage (before or after publication), the following actions will be taken:

  • Before publication: The manuscript will be immediately rejected.
  • After publication: The article will be retracted, and a public notice of retraction will be issued on the journal's website.
  • The author(s) may be blacklisted from submitting future manuscripts to IJIR.
  • The journal reserves the right to notify the author’s institution and relevant academic bodies about the ethical violation.

4. Ethical Responsibility of Authors

  • Authors must ensure that their submission is original and free from any form of plagiarism.
  • Proper citation and attribution must be given to all sources, including the author’s previously published work.
  • Authors must obtain permission for any copyrighted material used in their manuscript.

By submitting a manuscript to IJIR, authors agree to adhere to this plagiarism policy.
