Journal of Law, Policy and Global Development (JLPGD)

The Journal of Law, Policy and Global Development (JLPGD) is a peer-reviewed, open-access international journal dedicated to advancing high-quality scholarship at the intersection of law, public policy, and global development.

Established to provide a platform for interdisciplinary dialogue, JLPGD aims to explore legal frameworks and governance systems that influence sustainable development across diverse national and regional contexts. The journal welcomes submissions from scholars, legal practitioners, policy experts, and researchers worldwide, especially those addressing emerging legal and regulatory issues from a global perspective.

Aims and Scope

JLPGD seeks to publish cutting-edge research in areas including (but not limited to):

  • International and comparative law

  • Legal aspects of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

  • Human rights, justice, and access to legal services

  • Environmental and climate law

  • Governance, anti-corruption, and institutional reform

  • Legal innovation, digital governance, and public policy

  • Development cooperation and global legal partnerships

The journal particularly supports works that engage with SDG 13 (Climate Action), SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), reflecting the legal dimension of sustainable global futures.

Review Process

All submissions undergo a rigorous double-blind peer-review process to ensure academic integrity, originality, and relevance. JLPGD adheres to the highest standards of publication ethics as outlined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

The Journal of Law, Policy and Global Development (JLPGD) is published biannually in June and December by:
Pondok Pesantren As-Salafiyah As-Safi'iyyah, Indonesia.
