Plagiarism Policy

Journal of Studies in Academic, Humanities, Research, and Innovation is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity. All submitted manuscripts are checked for originality and must be free from any form of plagiarism, including self-plagiarism and duplicate publication.

1. Definition of Plagiarism

Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to:

  • Copying text, ideas, images, or data from another source without proper attribution.

  • Failing to use quotation marks for directly quoted material.

  • Paraphrasing content from another source without sufficient acknowledgment.

  • Reusing one’s own previously published material (self-plagiarism) without disclosure.

2. Plagiarism Check

  • All manuscripts submitted to Journal of Studies in Academic, Humanities, Research, and Innovation will be screened using plagiarism detection software (such as Turnitin or iThenticate).

  • The acceptable similarity index is below 20%, and no single source should exceed 3%, excluding references and properly cited quotations.

3. Editorial Action on Plagiarism

If plagiarism is detected at any stage:

  • Before publication: The manuscript will be immediately rejected.

  • After publication: The published article will be retracted, and a retraction notice will be issued. The author’s institution may also be notified.

  • In cases of minor plagiarism (such as poor citation), authors may be asked to revise and resubmit with proper attribution.

4. Responsibilities of Authors

Authors are responsible for ensuring that their work is entirely original and appropriately cites the work of others. By submitting to this journal, authors affirm that the manuscript is free from plagiarism and has not been submitted or published elsewhere.

5. Responsibilities of Reviewers and Editors

Reviewers and editors are encouraged to report any suspected plagiarism during the review process. The editorial team will handle all cases confidentially and in accordance with COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines.
