Author Guidelines
MUNIF: International Journal of Religion Moderation publishes original research articles, conceptual papers, literature reviews, and case studies focusing on the concept, implementation, and development of religious moderation in global and multicultural contexts. Authors are expected to carefully follow these guidelines to ensure a smooth submission and publication process.
1. Manuscript Submission

Manuscripts must be submitted online through the official journal website:

All manuscripts must be submitted in English.

Authors must ensure the submitted manuscript is original, has not been previously published, and is not under consideration elsewhere.

Manuscripts that do not comply with the journal’s guidelines will be returned without review.
2. Types of Articles Accepted
MUNIF accepts the following types of manuscripts:

Original Research Articles — Empirical studies presenting novel findings.

Conceptual Papers — Theoretical studies offering new frameworks or perspectives.
-
Literature Reviews — Comprehensive and critical reviews of relevant research.
-
Case Studies — In-depth analyses of specific cases relevant to religious moderation.
3. Manuscript Structure
Authors are required to prepare manuscripts according to the following structure:
A. Title Page

Title: Concise, informative, and no more than 16 words.
-
Author Information: Full name(s) of all authors, institutional affiliations, and ORCID IDs (if available).

Corresponding Author: Name, email address, and phone number.
B. Abstract

Maximum 250 words written in a single paragraph.

Must include:

Background — Brief context of the study.
-
Objective — Research purpose or aim.
-
Methods — Approach, participants, and analysis techniques.

Results — Main findings.
-
Conclusion — Key implications.

Keywords: 3–6 keywords, separated by semicolons.
C. Main Text
Manuscripts should follow the IMRaD format:

Introduction

Context and background of the study.

Research gap and objectives.

Methods

Research design, participants, instruments, and data analysis.

Include ethical considerations when applicable.

Results
-
Present findings clearly and concisely, supported by tables, figures, and charts where necessary.

Interpret findings, compare with relevant studies, and highlight contributions.

Conclusion

Summarize key findings, implications, and suggestions for future research.

Recognize contributors, funding sources, or institutions.

All references must follow the APA 7th Edition citation style.

4. Formatting Guidelines

File Format: Microsoft Word (.docx)

Manuscript Length: 4,000 – 8,000 words (excluding references).

Font: Times New Roman, size 12 pt.
-
Spacing: 1.5 line spacing.
-
Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides.
-
Page Numbers: Bottom-right corner.
-
Language: Manuscripts must be written in academic English. Authors are encouraged to seek professional editing services if necessary.
5. Tables and Figures

Tables

Numbered consecutively (Table 1, Table 2, etc.).

Include clear titles above the tables.
-
Notes or explanations should be placed below the table.

Figures

Numbered consecutively (Figure 1, Figure 2, etc.).

Include descriptive captions below the figures.

Submit figures in high-resolution formats (JPEG/PNG, minimum 300 DPI).

6. Citation and References

Follow the APA 7th Edition referencing style.

7. Plagiarism Policy

All submissions will be screened using Turnitin or equivalent software.

Manuscripts with a similarity index above 20% will be returned for revision or rejected outright.

Authors are responsible for ensuring the originality of their work.
8. Ethical Considerations
MUNIF adheres strictly to the guidelines of the
Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Authors must ensure compliance with ethical research standards, including:

Obtaining necessary ethical approvals.

Declaring conflicts of interest.
-
Acknowledging funding sources and contributors appropriately.
9. Submission and Review Process

Manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening for compliance with guidelines and scope.

Eligible manuscripts are subjected to a double-blind peer review by at least two independent experts.

Authors may be required to revise their manuscripts based on reviewer feedback.
-
Final acceptance is at the discretion of the Editor-in-Chief.
10. Copyright and Licensing
Authors retain copyright of their work and grant MUNIF the right of first publication under the
CC BY 4.0 License, which allows others to share and adapt the work for any purpose with proper attribution.
