Submission Guidelines

We welcome original research articles, case studies, literature reviews, and reports on community-based research. All submissions should align with the journal’s focus areas and must adhere to the following guidelines:

• Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
• Papers should be written in clear, formal English or Bahasa Indonesia and follow the JPKM formatting guidelines available on our submission portal.
• Authors must submit their manuscripts electronically via our online submission system.
• Please ensure all figures, tables, and references are formatted according to JPKM’s style guide.

Publication Frequency

JPKM is published biannually, with two issues released each year in July and December. These issues are available on the JPKM website and are freely accessible to the public as part of our commitment to open access publishing.

Peer Review Process

To ensure that only the highest quality articles are published, JPKM follows a double-blind peer review process. Upon submission, your manuscript will be evaluated by at least two independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant field. The reviewers provide feedback on the manuscript’s scientific merit, originality, relevance, and clarity.

• Initial Screening: All manuscripts are initially screened for plagiarism and checked for compliance with our submission guidelines.
• Peer Review: After the initial screening, manuscripts are sent for review by experts in the field. The review process typically takes 4-6 weeks.
• Revisions: Authors may be asked to revise their manuscripts based on reviewer feedback before a final decision is made.
• Final Decision: After the revisions, the editors will make the final decision on the manuscript’s acceptance for publication.

Open Access Policy

JPKM follows an open-access publishing model, meaning that all content is available for free to readers. Articles published in JPKM can be accessed by anyone, anywhere, without subscription fees or paywalls.
