Electronic Filing

JMPI: Jurnal Manajemen, Pendidikan dan Pemikiran Islam uses the Open Journal Systems (OJS) publishing platform, developed by the Public Knowledge Project (PKP), to facilitate the electronic submission, editorial management, peer review, and publication of scholarly manuscripts.

All manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the official JMPI journal website. Submissions sent through personal email or other communication channels will not be considered formal submissions unless explicitly requested by the editorial office.

1. Electronic Submission Procedure

Authors must register for an account on the JMPI website or log in using their existing credentials. Authors should then access the online submission system and follow the instructions provided by OJS.

During the submission process, authors are required to:

  1. Select the appropriate journal section or manuscript type, where available.

  2. Confirm that the manuscript complies with the journal's submission requirements and publication ethics policies.

  3. Enter accurate manuscript metadata, including the title, abstract, keywords, author names, institutional affiliations, and corresponding author's contact details.

  4. Upload the main manuscript file in accordance with the journal's formatting requirements.

  5. Upload supplementary files, declarations, research ethics documentation, or other supporting materials when required.

  6. Review all submission information and complete the submission process through the OJS interface.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that all information entered into the system is complete, accurate, and consistent with the submitted manuscript.

2. Manuscript Preparation and File Requirements

Manuscripts must follow the official JMPI [Author Guidelines] and manuscript template available on the journal website. Files should be complete, readable, and prepared in the formats specified by the journal.

To maintain the integrity of the journal's [double-blind peer-review process], the main manuscript must not disclose the identities of the authors. Author names, institutional affiliations, acknowledgments, and other identifying information should be entered in the designated metadata fields or provided in separate files, as instructed by the journal.

Tables, figures, citations, references, and supplementary materials must be properly prepared and cited. Authors must also ensure that third-party materials are used with appropriate permission or under a valid license where required.

3. Author Declarations and Publication Ethics

By submitting a manuscript electronically, the corresponding author confirms that:

  • The manuscript is original and has not been published previously in substantially the same form.

  • The manuscript is not simultaneously under consideration for publication by another journal.

  • All listed authors have approved the submitted version and agreed to its submission to JMPI.

  • The manuscript complies with the journal's authorship criteria, publication ethics, plagiarism screening, and research integrity policies.

  • Relevant funding sources, competing interests, and research ethics approvals have been disclosed where applicable.

  • The use of generative artificial intelligence has been disclosed in accordance with the journal's applicable policy.

  • All required permissions for copyrighted or third-party materials have been obtained where necessary.

JMPI is committed to responsible scholarly publishing and encourages authors to consult the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) for guidance on publication integrity.

4. Submission Confirmation and Manuscript Tracking

After completing the electronic submission, authors should verify that the manuscript appears in their OJS account and that the system confirms receipt of the submission.

Authors may use their accounts to monitor manuscript progress, respond to editorial requests, upload revised files, and communicate with the editorial office through the available OJS workflow.

Editorial decisions, revision requests, and other relevant notifications may be communicated through OJS or the corresponding author's registered email address.

If technical problems prevent successful submission, authors should contact the JMPI editorial office using the contact details published on the journal website.

5. Editorial Assessment and Peer Review

All electronically submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial assessment to determine their relevance to the journal's focus and scope, originality, academic quality, and compliance with submission requirements.

Manuscripts that pass the initial assessment may proceed to the journal's double-blind peer-review process. Authors may be required to revise their manuscripts in response to editorial and reviewer comments.

Electronic submission does not guarantee acceptance or publication. Editorial decisions are based on scholarly merit, originality, methodological rigor, relevance, ethical compliance, and the outcome of the review process.

6. Data Security and Confidentiality

JMPI manages submitted manuscripts and associated information through its electronic editorial workflow. Access to submission files and related information should be limited to authorized individuals involved in editorial management, peer review, and publication.

Editors, reviewers, and other authorized participants are expected to maintain the confidentiality of unpublished manuscripts and to use submission materials only for legitimate editorial and scholarly purposes.

The journal's handling of personal information is subject to its applicable privacy and data protection policies.

7. Final Statement

JMPI encourages all authors to use the official OJS submission system to ensure an organized, transparent, and traceable editorial process. Authors should retain copies of their submitted files and monitor their registered accounts for editorial correspondence and requests for further action.

For additional information about electronic submission, manuscript preparation, or technical assistance, authors should consult the journal's Author Guidelines or contact the JMPI editorial office through the official journal website.
