About the Journal

JMPI: Jurnal Manajemen, Pendidikan dan Pemikiran Islam is a peer-reviewed academic journal published twice a year, in June and November. The journal is dedicated to disseminating high-quality scholarly articles derived from original research, literature reviews, and critical academic thought in the fields of management, education, law, and Islamic studies. It serves as a platform for scholars, researchers, academics, and practitioners to contribute to the advancement of knowledge across these domains, including contemporary developments in Islamic law, Islamic economic law, and Islamic family law.

Scope and Focus

The journal accepts original research articles, review articles, and short communications on topics including, but not limited to:

  • Management in General: Covering management theories, organizational behavior, leadership, strategic management, human resource management, and organizational development.

  • Management of Education: Addressing educational leadership, school and madrasah management, educational planning, quality assurance, educational policy, and institutional development.

  • Education in General: Exploring educational theories, learning practices, curriculum development, instructional innovations, educational assessment, and educational technology.

  • Islamic Education: Examining Islamic educational philosophy, Islamic pedagogy, pesantren and madrasah education, and the integration of Islamic values into educational practices.

  • Islamic Law (Fiqh and Sharia Studies): Exploring Islamic jurisprudence, usul al-fiqh, maqasid al-shariah, contemporary fiqh, ijtihad, and the application of Islamic legal principles in modern society.

  • Islamic Family Law: Addressing marriage, divorce, inheritance, guardianship, family rights and responsibilities, child protection, family welfare, and contemporary developments in Islamic family law.

  • Islamic Economic Law and Sharia Business Law: Examining Islamic economic transactions, Islamic banking and finance, sharia-compliant business contracts, takaful, zakat, waqf, halal business, and the resolution of sharia economic disputes.

  • Islamic Civil and Constitutional Law: Discussing Islamic legal principles in relation to civil law, constitutional systems, legislation, human rights, legal pluralism, and national legal frameworks.

  • Theology: Delving into Islamic religious beliefs, theological doctrines, kalam, and their implications for individuals and society.

  • Philosophy: Discussing Islamic philosophical thought, epistemology, ethics, metaphysics, and contemporary philosophical perspectives.

  • Islamic Studies: Including Qur’anic studies, hadith studies, Islamic history, civilization, culture, jurisprudence, and contemporary Muslim societies.

  • Sufism and Islamic Spirituality: Examining mystical traditions within Islam, spiritual development, Islamic ethics, and their relevance to contemporary life.

  • Islamic Thought and Contemporary Issues: Exploring religious moderation, Islam and modernity, social transformation, and the contribution of Islamic thought to contemporary global challenges.

  • Interdisciplinary Islamic Studies: Addressing research that integrates management, education, law, economics, philosophy, theology, and other disciplines within Islamic perspectives.
